What the Gaming Commission says

Always Vegas holds no licence from the Gaming Commission. Alwaysvegas belongs to the 900-odd addresses on the black list.

Neither EPIS nor the statutory weekly limit applies here. Disputes fall outside Belgian oversight. If you play anyway, set your own limit and keep the amounts small.

Weekly limit, age bar and exclusion

The rules on player protection here run more tightly than the Netherlands or France with concrete consequences for your account. Each site automatically applies a €200 weekly ceiling. Adjusting downwards works right away, going beyond that takes a review and time.

The Gaming Commission keeps one central exclusion register in EPIS: the exclusion applies instantly across the whole licensed landscape. Unlicensed sites are not connected to it. Since 1 September 2024 the minimum age is 21 for casino, gaming hall and betting; lottery products are the exception at 18. It applies online and on-site.

Signup, KYC and support

Signing up looks roughly the same on every site: your real details plus a KYC check before any money leaves. An ID and something that evidences your address usually suffice.

Language cover is a lottery, and the regulator has no say in the outcome. Leave the transaction mails in your inbox; they are your only foothold if things go wrong.

On payments, Belgium leaves little choice: bancontact and Bancontact Pay cover nearly every deposit, and what comes out lands on your account. Bancontact Pay is the name the Payconiq app has carried since March 2026. The card in your wallet probably already does it, with €5 as the usual minimum.

Bancontact Pay limits to €1500 per operation and €2500 per 24 hours. Available directly, no waiting; on your account it usually appears after one to three banking days, with the site's internal handling added to that.

Lowering the weekly limit worked right away, which I appreciated.

Player questions

Which payment method is best?

Yes. Bancontact and Bancontact Pay are the standard deposit methods; withdrawals go by bank transfer. Always pay from an account in your own name. There is no route back to Bancontact — that goes via the bank.

Is there tax on winnings?

No, you pay no tax on winnings; that burden falls on the operator. Ask for advice if large amounts are involved. At a foreign operator your tax position may differ.

From what age may I play?

The minimum age is 21; since 1 September 2024 it is 21 for casino, hall and betting. This is verified at registration. The rule applies online and on-site alike.

What is EPIS?

Through the Gaming Commission's EPIS system. One registration excludes you from every licensed operator, online and on-site. Relatives can, in certain cases, file a request. It is the strongest brake Belgium offers.

May Always Vegas operate in Belgium?

No. Always Vegas holds no Belgian licence and appears on the Gaming Commission's black list. It takes two clicks to verify. Always verify it yourself before depositing.
